St. Anne's Anglican Mens Fellowship to Manhyia Government Hospital and Prisons

Men’s Fellowship of the St. Anne’s Anglican Church at Ashanti New Town in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, has donated medical and food items to the Manhyia Government Hospital and Manhyia Local Prisons.
The items included gloves, disinfectants, nose masks, cleansing wipes, tissues and hand sanitizers, for the hospital.

The Prison also got bags of rice, cooking oil and tissues.
The total cost was estimated at GHC10, 000.
Presenting the items, the chairman for Men’s Fellowship,Mr. Sammy Kumi said the items were to support them during the lock down period, especially the PPEs, to enhance the hospital’s work in the fight against the coronavirus.
“The members thought it wise to assist the hospital with these items, which they need more to control the spread of the disease. The prisoners also need food items and the sanitizers to stop the spread of the disease,” he said.
The Deputy Director of Prisons at the Manhyia Local Prisons, Hanson Awuku, receiving the items expressed his gratitude to them and asked individuals and corporate bodies to help them in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic where their search for foods has been restricted.
Leader for the Manhyia Sub-Metro Case Management Team for CONVID-19, Dr. Collins Appiah Agyekum, on behalf of the Manhyia Government Hospital said the items came at the right time when more medical essentials are needed to halt the spread of the disease.
