Canon Brobbey Mensah,a very popular hymnologist has urged anglicans to sing hymns with understanding and in meditative posture.According to him,Hymns are biblically based,hence must be seen as the words inspired by God. The stories behind these hymns on how they were written only reflect and demonstrate God;s deliverance,power and might over the Earth.
Rev. Canon Brobbey Mensah is known for promoting the stories and meaning of hymns.One of his recent programs was "Hymns and their meaning” a virtual concert which he had with the St. Cyprains Cathedral Mass Choir and many others with notable choirs.
