Most Rev’d Dr. Cyril Ben-Smith(Archbishop IPG,Bishop of Asante Mampong) has Urged the Christendom to give thanks to God in all Things..

He said this In his Sermon at the 23rd thanksgiving of His Royal Majesty OTUMFOUR Osei Tutu II held on Tuesday,26th April this year at Cathedral of St. Cyprain the Matyr,Kumasi 

“There is power in offering appreciation to God for things we see as routines and we must not take them for granted” He said

According to Archbishop Ben-Smith,Giving THANKS implies

T —The act of showing gratitude to God comes from THINKING i.e developing the attitude of gratitude leads to the unfolding of God’s blessings 

H—Giving thanks to God unearth HEAVENLY POWER…it opens the heavens for the showering for God’s blessings 

A—-Giving thanks to God means ACCEPTANCE that the Lord has been gracious and faithful to you;By giving thanks,we accept God’s promises and purpose over our lives…

N—-Giving thanks opens NEW DOORS ..It causes new opportunities to come into existence bringing personal development and success

K— Showimg gratitude to God KNOCKS the door way of God into his Kingdom where there is Joy and prosperity 

S—-Giving thanks is a SECRET to God’s favor; it pushes God to pour out his blessings..

He further urged Christians to  be in the posture of gratitude to gain favor in the sight of God…

Archbishop Smith congratulated His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II on his twenty three years of ascension to the throne and commended him for his initiative to offer thanks to God every year for his Grace and sustenance..

A Grand Valedictory Service was held for Very Rev’d Timothy Kankam Dwumfour,Dean of St Anslems Cathedral,Suyani on Saturday,7th May 2022..

In his Valedictory Sermon, he urged Christians to depend on God at all times….

“God will always make the journey easy when you depend on him.Believe and live by his words and he will give you strength even in times of difficulties…Whichever ministry you find yourself,know that it will only be easy when you allow God to direct your path.” He said

Dean Dwumfour further pinned the minds of the young clergy to be ready for temptations and difficulties as they shepherd the flock of Christ ; he assured them of a victorious ending if they lean on God in faithfulness and truth….

He thanked Rt. Revd Yeboah Essuamah (Bishop of Suyani),Diocesan Officials and the entire diocese for supporting him in diverse ways in his ministry as the Dean of St Anslems Cathedral…

The Anglican women’s Ministry of the Diocese of Cape Coast held a Mother’s Day Prayer retreat under the auspices of Rt. Rev’d. Victor Atta Baffoe (Bishop of Cape Coast) on Saturday,7th May 2022 at St. Thomas Anglican Church,Anomabo

The Retreat was aimed at Seeking the face of the Lord for increase and sustenance for the church and the nation

Rev’d Vida Gyambeng Frimpong (Diocesan Women’s ministry Chaplain) highlighted the importance of women in the Anglican Church and charged women in the diocese to take up roles in the church to contribute their Quota for Church Growth…

SING HYMNS WITH UNDERSTANDING— REV’D CANON MENSAH

Rev. Canon Brobbey Mensah,well  known hymnologist and liturgist, has urged anglicans to sing hymns with understanding and in meditative posture.

According to him,Hymns are biblically based ,hence ‘carry’ words inspired by God. The stories behind these hymns reflect and demonstrate  God;s deliverance,power and might over the Earth.

“We must sing the hymns not for singing sake;As you sing,meditate on the words in your heart and you will experience God’s presence , miracles and breakthroughs in your life”  He said

Rev. Canon Brobbey Mensah is known for promoting stories behind the composition of hymns and their meanings.
