SING HYMNS WITH UNDERSTANDING— REV’D CANON MENSAH

Rev. Canon Brobbey Mensah, well  known hymnologist and liturgist, has urged anglicans to sing hymns with understanding and in meditative posture.

According to him,Hymns are biblically based ,hence ‘carry’ words inspired by God. The stories behind these hymns reflect and demonstrate  God;s deliverance, power and might over the Earth.

“We must sing the hymns not for singing sake;As you sing, meditate on the words in your heart and you will experience God’s presence , miracles and breakthroughs in your life”  He said

Rev. Canon Brobbey Mensah is known for promoting stories behind the composition of hymns and their meanings.

Rev’d Canon Duah (Priest Assisting, St. Annes Parish), at the homily eulogized the Late Canon as a soldier of Christ who served God diligently and described his demise as a call to a higher service. He urged the mourners present to be ready for the changing scenes of life. “Storms of Life are Unavoidable; we must be ready for it. We may be forced to replace faith with fear when confronted with the worst; Jesus must be our stronghold in such times”.  Rev’d Canon Duah.
